Design and fit
First the packaging. This reminds us a bit of the Apple Packaging, which we like. It sports a classic Scandinavian look—simple, clean and sleek. It gives you a nice first impression of a good-quality product.
The headphones are sold in two colors: matte black and gold. Gold is today what white was a few years ago - an absolute status symbol. While we like the WOOFit headphones in gold, it might be a bit too flashy for some. So, if you want to opt for something more down-to-earth, the matte black is extremely nice, and just as sleek.
The WOOFit headphones won high points on fit. Compared to the Beoplay H8 by B&O, they felt much lighter on the head and were much better padded. That’s no wonder. Even though B&O market the Beoplay H8 as the lightest on the market they weigh almost 100g more than the WOOFit headphones.
The cups feel soft and fit snugly on your ears. The headband — just as soft — allows for plenty of flexibility, which ensures you don’t get a headache when wearing the headphones for extended periods of time — as we get from the Beats. One of our favorite design features of the WOOFit headphones is how the headband adjusts simply by pulling the aluminum extensions out of the headband casing. You’re essentially able to adjust the headbands to fit your head without compromising the design. We also love how easily these headphone pack up and travel without being bulky. Simply rotate the cups and they slide into any flat space in your bag.
WOOFit headphone by SACKit: New Danish design hit the US market

The significant difference in the SACKit headphones versus those from B&O is noticeable in the build quality. This is where the higher price of the Beoplays makes a difference — but you have to look closely. First of all, the WOOFit uses protein leather - also known as pleather. The pleather is nice and soft enough, though. The stitching is not as tight on the WOOFit headphones and the aluminum casing of the cups seems slightly fragile, but not enough to compromise the design. There’s also significant light bleed along the casing from the bluetooth and active noise cancellation indicators.
Sound
The WOOFit headphones sound is clear and void of any static. There’s a distinct difference in how they sound compared to the Beoplay H8s, which is not necessarily bad - it all depends on taste. We tested both pairs on 10 people - their preferences for sound came out 50/50. The WOOFit headphones produces a more intense club feel versus a softer surround sound from the Beoplay H8s.
We live in a noisy world, and noise cancellation is definitely key. We bring our headphones on planes, subways, and to the office. The Active Noise Cancellation on the WOOFit headphones shuts out the sound of cars honking and pesky coworkers talking perfectly. Though sounds were muffled, the WOOFit didn’t shut out noise when no music was being played. The Beoplay H8s seem to be both noise canceling and noise isolating, which means that just by putting them on, without playing any music, you are practically deaf.
The handsfree calling works impeccably on the WOOFit headphones. In fact, there were no difference to be heard whether you spoke on the handsfree calling or directly on the phone.
Internals
The battery is amazing. We unwrapped these headphones more than a week ago, and haven’t had to charge them yet. We haven’t been using them 24/7, but you should be able to squeeze 10-12 hours out of these headphones before needing a new charge.
Connecting to the Bluetooth 4.0 was quick, easy and stable across all of our devices: phones, laptops, and tablets. The on-headphone controls are straight forward, but lack the sleekness of more expensive designs. We’re OK with this on the WOOFit given the good price.
Overall assessment: The WOOFit headphones by SACKit are an amazing pair of headphones with great features, clear sound, and a sleek design. We feel they outperform popular brands like Beats by Dre, and come nearly as close in sound, design and comfort as an expensive pair of B&Os. In other words, if you want a Danish design, and can’t afford the whopping $500 for the Beoplay H8 by B&O, the WOOFit by SACKit is a perfect alternative. Get you pair through Manon Trade.

This year a new Scandinavian brand makes its entry into the US… SACKit…
SACKit is a Danish company that employs a small office of dedicated people who love to hang out in bean bags and listen to good music. Sounds pretty much like the relaxed lifestyle of a Scandinavian as we know it, right? Their product line is filled with everything fit for a modern and active lifestyle.
The key words are functionality and aesthetics.
Their breakthrough came with the introduction of a retrofitted beanbag that was not only comfortable, but also extremely cool-looking. Unfortunately, we don’t have access to the beanbags in the US yet, but starting this year, we can purchase their WOOFit bluetooth headphones and speakers.
We’ve been fortunate to be some of the first to test the WOOFit headphones by SACKit. We’re in love, to say the least. Not only do they look and feel amazing, but they sound amazing too.
In a market saturated by wireless headphones, we ran a test against the best Danish brand out there — the B&O BeoPlay H8. The WOOFit headphones is not your B&O headphones, but they come pretty close. Let’s remember that B&O are the kings of sound and design, so at its price point ($134.95 for WOOFit versus $499 for Beoplay) performing nearly as well is pretty darn good. We also compared them with the very popular Beats by Dre Solo ($299), which we feel the WOOFit outperformed by leaps and bounds in both sound and design.
